Pivotal Thermal Control and Energy Efficiency in Modern Milk Lines
In milk processing, every degree matters. From the moment raw milk is received to the final packaging stage, maintaining a precise temperature curve is crucial. Fully integrated into the **Weishu Milk Production Line**, our sanitary plate heat exchangers are engineered to handle delicate dairy proteins gently. They maximize heat recovery, prevent product fouling, and ensure complete hygienic safety across high-capacity daily runs.
Immediate Raw Milk Reception Chilling
When raw milk arrives at the processing plant from farms, its temperature is typically around 35°C, a level where bacteria multiply rapidly. To preserve quality, the milk must be chilled below 4°C immediately. Within the **Weishu Milk Production Line**, our high-performance plate heat exchangers handle this critical initial stage. Utilizing a two-stage cooling setup—using ambient water in the first section and chilled glycol in the second—the system cools massive volumes of raw milk in seconds. This rapid, turbulent thermal drop halts bacterial growth instantly, protects delicate milk fat globules, and lowers the cooling load on downstream storage silos.
Energy-Regenerative HTST Pasteurization
To ensure biological safety, milk must undergo High-Temperature Short-Time (HTST) pasteurization, typically heating to 72°C–75°C for 15 seconds. This heating and subsequent cooling process requires immense energy. The **Weishu Milk Production Line** addresses this by using multi-section plate heat exchangers equipped with highly efficient thermal regeneration zones. The cold, incoming raw milk is directly pre-heated by the hot, pasteurized milk flowing in the opposite direction. This advanced heat recycling recovers up to 95% of the process heat, significantly reducing steam boiler consumption and chilled water loads, making the pasteurization loop extremely cost-effective.
Precise Temp Control Prior to Cold Filling
Before entering high-speed packaging or bottle-filling machines, pasteurized milk must be kept at an ultra-low, stable temperature (typically 2°C to 4°C). If the milk temperature rises even slightly, it can cause severe foaming during high-speed filling, leading to volume inaccuracies and packaging downtime. Our plate heat exchangers are positioned directly upstream of the filling lines in the **Weishu Milk Production Line** to perform final, ultra-precise temperature adjustments. Equipped with fast-acting digital control valves, the exchanger reacts instantly to any flow rate changes, ensuring the milk is fed to the filler at a perfectly consistent temperature to eliminate foaming.
