Milk Cooling Tank
A milk cooling tank rapidly chills raw milk from body temperature to 4 °C after milking, inhibiting bacterial growth and preserving quality before transport or processing. Used across dairy cattle farms, goat and sheep operations, raw milk collection stations, and small-scale processing plants, our milk cooling tanks deliver reliable refrigeration performance in stainless steel food-grade construction built for continuous daily operation.

How Our Milk Cooling Tank Protects Raw Milk Quality, Reduces Bacteria Count & Supports Compliance
Raw milk quality degrades rapidly at temperatures above 10 °C. Every hour without adequate cooling accelerates bacterial multiplication, raises somatic cell count, and shortens shelf life. Our milk cooling tank addresses this with high-efficiency direct-expansion refrigeration, food-grade SUS304 insulated tanks, and automated agitation systems — keeping milk at ≤4 °C consistently to meet dairy hygiene standards and buyer quality requirements.
Milk Cooling Tank Stops Bacterial Growth at the Source
Our milk cooling tank uses a direct-expansion (DX) refrigeration system to drop raw milk temperature from body temperature to ≤4 °C within two hours of milking. This rapid cooling window is critical: most dairy buyers and food safety regulations require milk to reach 4 °C before pickup. The DX system operates efficiently even in warm ambient conditions, making the milk cooling tank reliable across tropical, subtropical, and temperate farm environments.
Milk Cooling Tank Built for Daily Farm Sanitation Cycles
Every milk cooling tank is manufactured in SUS304 stainless steel with high-density polyurethane insulation between the inner and outer shells. The insulation maintains cold chain temperature even during power fluctuations, reducing compressor run cycles and energy cost. All interior surfaces are mirror-polished to Ra ≤0.8 µm for easy CIP cleaning, with no dead zones where milk residue or bacteria can accumulate between collection cycles.
Milk Cooling Tank Prevents Fat Separation and Maintains Homogeneous Temperature
The milk cooling tank is fitted with a variable-speed agitator that runs on a timed cycle to prevent cream from separating and to equalise temperature across the full volume. Without agitation, upper layers of milk remain warmer than the tank-wall contact zone, causing localised bacterial growth and inconsistent sample readings. The automated agitation system eliminates this problem, ensuring the milk cooling tank delivers uniform quality from first fill to final collection.
